FAQ's

1. Where is Abraham House located?
Abraham House is located on Lower Gardiner Street which is a 5 minutes walk from the central bus station and Connolly Train Station. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street.

2. Is there a Curfew?
No, Abraham House is opened 24 hours although guests must show their security pass to enter the building.

3. What is included in the price for a night?
All rates are per person sharing per night and include light breakfast & bed linen. All rooms en-suite (with toilet & shower).

4. What is breakfast?
Abraham House serves light continental breakfast which includes coffee, tea, toast and orange juice.

5. What time is the breakfast?
Breakfast time is from 8am until 10am Monday - Friday and 8am - 11am on Saturday and Sunday and it is self service.

6. What are the Check-in and Checkout times?
Earliest Check in time is 2pm Check out time is 10.30am Monday - Friday and 11.30 am on Saturday and Sunday. If you arrive before 2.00pm and your bed/room is not ready yet, you can leave your luggage in left luggage room facility (which is free of charge) and then check in later.

7. Do you have WI FI internet Access?
Yes, we offer free Wi Fi internet access to all guests with laptop computers. For guests not carrying a laptop there are computer terminals available (€1.00 for 15 mins)

8. Are there parking facilities?
We do not have car-parking space available. However, the nearest is Irish Life Car Park on Lower Abbey Street (€ 2.70 per hour, €10 all day Saturday, €5 all day Sunday). Another close one is Q-Park on Marlboro Street (overnight rate €6). On-street parking is available on James Joyce Street and there are usually spaces available in the evenings after 7pm, free of charge. There is also bicycle parking on Talbot Street.

9. Are left-luggage facilities provided?
Yes, there is left-luggage room available for early arrival and late departure.

10. Are security boxes (safes) provided?
Yes, we collect a €10.00 refundable deposit and there is a charge of €1.00 per day.

11. What is an en-suite room?
It is the room with toilet and showers facilities inside the room. Abraham House has all rooms en-suite.

12. What methods of payment are accepted?
Abraham House accepts Euro and all major credit cards.

13. What is your cancellation policy?
For individuals, the cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to arrival (late cancellations or no shows will result in the card holder being charged for 1st nights accommodation). For groups we have specific cancellation terms.

14. Is linen included?
Yes, bed linen is included (pillow, sheet, quilt cover).

15. Are multi-bed rooms single sex only?
On line we do sell a certain amount of female only dorms – you need to ensure that when you book on line – if you want a bed in a female dorm make sure that that you pick the option of a female only dorm and not a mixed sex dorm.

16 Are children allowed in mixed dorms?
Whilst we do welcome children under 16 to stay in Abraham House our company policy states they they may only stay in private rooms or dormitories for sole occupancy. If you reserve a dorm bed for someone under the age of 16 we will cancel the reservation upon arrival and you will incurr a 1 night cancellation charge

17. Are there disabled facilities?
Whilst we do welcome disabled guests – as our building is old – we do not have specific facilities that cater for disabled guests – we do not have a lift / adapted bathrooms / ramp access to the hostel etc.

18. Are there cooking facilities?
Yes, there is self catering kitchen available (dishes provided).

19. Are towels available?
Yes, towels can be hired from reception for €1.00 charge
